The idea for a wargaming-dedicated auction site was conceived in the summer of 2006. The high fees we paid to ebay, coupled with our frustration with our listings disappearing into the bottomless scrum of listings made us look for an alternative. There was no alternative to the monster of ebay for the gaming community we discovered.

The first version of The Wargames Market was officially launched on 25th January 2007.

Our current site configuration, launched to members on 4th July 2007, not only makes us a rival to ebay for the gaming community, but we now offer many features that ebay does not, and completely free to our members.

Wargamesmarket.com is run by a legitimate registered company based in the UK. Wargamers Market (UK) Ltd is a real business run with a professional attitude.

Our pledges to our members include:

• FAST email ticket support - we aim to resolve all issues within 48 hours.
• We will NEVER charge a final value fee (end of auction fee)
• Our listing fees will always be at least 50% cheaper than ebay comparables (we are currently 75% cheaper than ebay for comparable fees)

Having cut our teeth over the past 20 months successfully supporting the listing of over 20,000 items and sale of over 2000 items we have decided to expand the site to allow other hobbies to benefit from free auctions. Categories have been added for model railways, trading cards, diecast collectibles and traditional metal toy soldiers. To iad this increas in scope the Wargames Market domain has been changed to 'Games 2 Trains' to reflect the cross- hobby appeal.
