You are looking at the sale of a Gauss Weapon Color Conversion Kit for 40k Models, composed of fifty (50) bags with ten (10) custom made rods each of the color of your choosing. Use them as you see fit; replace the default green 'Linear Accelerator Chamber' on your Warhammer 40k Necrons, enhance models, create objectives, you decide! There is no rule that says you HAVE to use the green rods in your Necrons. Each rod is hand cut from the correct diameter fluorescent acrylic strands to perfectly replace the ones provided by Games Workshop in their models. You can be creative and unique... Installation Details Installation of the rods is SUPER SIMPLE! First, as always, dry-fit the rod you want to use to the model's 'Linear Accelerator Chamber' in the Gauss Weapon. I have left each rod at least 1/32 inch longer than the green rods. This was done to compensate from differences in assembling models. I had rods that are too short for three of my own models, only to fit perfectly on the 4th. If it is too long (which will probably be) you can clip the tip in one end (if you have nerves of steel) or (better yet) file it down (may take 15-30 seconds) to fit your model. To attach, just put a small drop of glue with wood/white glue (i.e. Elmer's Glue) on each side of the 'Linear Accelerator Chamber', just like you were about to do with the green rods. Set the COLOR rod there and allow to dry (glue dries transparent!) You are DONE! Just like regular green rods, DO NOT USE Crazy Glue (or contact cement) because it will turn the acrylic 'powdery white'. White glue is cheaper anyway! :) Practice with the green rods, once your get the hang of it, take them out (the paint won't be damaged) and use the COLOR ones... and get ready to impress your enemies! Conversion time: ~2 minutes per model. Paint Details None. The rods are provided on their natural state, and they require no painting for their use UNLESS you wish to paint over them... in that case, save your money and use the green ones!
